Open Wednesday

We will be open Wednesday, normal hours, from Noon-10pm, weather permitting.

We know cabin fever is setting in, so if it’s safe for you to join us, we look forward to seeing you! Come play and let us know how you’re doing.

Wednesday is our usual, very busy D&D night, but we will have space to play other games as well.

Friday Night Magic is on, stay tuned for details.

Store Hours Update

We are thinking of all of our wonderful friends in the GeekLife community and hope the best for each of you. We are working on how best we can support our friends and neighbors moving forward and will keep you posted as we finalize plans.
Today we were able to get to the store and thankfully/luckily everything is well there and in the immediate area for now.
We do not plan to open the store Tuesday and will make a determination about Wednesday soon.
Stay safe. #HoustonStrong

Closed Sunday, August 27

Due to widespread flooding from Tropical Storm Harvey, the store is closed today, Sunday, August 27.

We hope all of our friends are safe and dry and remain so.

Stay safe, Houston!

Time for Analog Fun!

Don’t get caught with no power and nothing to do, stock up on analog fun before the storm hits.

GeekLife will be open at noon today, August 25, but closing at 6pm. Depending on the weather, we may decide to close earlier, in which case will will update our website as well as the Facebook page.
Tonight’s commander event has been cancelled, but if you preordered a Commander 2017 deck, you may pick it up while we are open.

School is around the corner, but the fun continues all year long at GeekLife.

Come celebrate the end of summer with us Saturday, August 26. From when we open at noon until late in the evening, maybe even past bedtime ;), we’ll be demoing fun children’s board games, hosting story hour, leading paper crafts and other fun activities.

728 Day Party

Join GeekLife on July 28 as we celebrate the address that has become a home to a wide array of geeks. Featuring games, food and fun we’re also pleased to announce our first ever art show.

We know our community includes some amazing artists and this is your time to shine! Details on the call for art are listed below the jump.

The party is on July 28, but the fun lasts all weekend with sales and giveaways.

Check back often as we add more details or keep up on our Facebook event page.

Tabletop Day and Free Comics!

In just a few short weeks, we will once again celebrate two of geekdom’s high holy days, International Tabeltop Day and Free Comic Book Day. Each event serves to celebrate all the ways these pursuits have enriched our lives.

Tabletop games bring people together, literally, in ways that few activities can rival. They challenge our mind, heart and spirit (and sometimes even our friendships -I’m looking at you, Diplomacy 😉 ).  Join us on Saturday, April 29 for a can’t-miss day of demos and organized play. Whether you’re an experienced gamer or just discovering all the joy this hobby can bring, we will have something for you. Keep an eye out here and on our Facebook page as we announce more details in the next few days.

Free Comic Book Day follows close on the heels of ITTD. Exactly as the name implies, this is your chance to get some really great comics for absolutely free. Join us on Saturday, May 6 and let us introduce you to comics OR to your new favorite. We’ll have great new comics for all ages and interests, plus fun activities, specials and giveaways. Comics are a fantastic way to inspire young readers not just to read but to WANT to read. Rooted in the dawn of mass printing, comics have long been a stalwart of American storytelling and at GeekLife, we take great pride in curating a widely diverse selection of these voices.

We can’t wait to see you at these exciting events!

Aether Revolt Prerelease This Weekend

Join us this weekend and find out for yourself why Wizards of the Coast nominated GeekLife as a finalist for Best Eldritch Moon Prerelease!

The ever-popular Midnight Prerelease will have it’s own pre-party starting at Friday the 13th Friday Night Magic with a $5 Commander Tournament and unlimited open play.

Feeling lucky? Roll the dice to see which FNM promo card you will receive in addition to the January FNM promo card.

Staying up till the wee hours isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, so please join us Saturday, January 14 at 7pm for the same feel at an earlier time.

New to Magic: The Gathering? Not sure about participating in (one of) your first tournament(s) solo? Two Headed Giant is perfect for the new player and the experienced player to share their love of the game with a friend or family member. We have two 2HG events, one Saturday and one Sunday, both will start at 2pm.

Prerelease events would not be as amazing as they are without you!

As a special thank-you to YOU (yes, you) all of our Aether Revolt Prerelease events will be $23*.

*(after tax)

We’re happy to take phone and Facebook courtesy reservations, but please note all unpaid reservations will be released 30 minutes prior to each Prerelease event.
